Benefits of paid subscriptions
I have enabled paid subscriptions. But I plan for most posts to be free.
So why should someone get a paid subscription? I will be implementing two weekly features for paid subscribers only:
This Week in Substack, with a round-up of new resources on Substack, new Substack newsletters, news about Substack from across the web – all the Substack that's fit to print.
The Open Forum, where Substackers and other interested persons can exchange ideas, make connections, promote their newsletters, work through frustrations, celebrate achievements, etc.
I may add other features for paid subscribers over time. Feel free to send me suggestions.
I hope to strike the right balance between providing added value to paid subscribers while maintaining a useful free publication.
