Good point. This is a topic I intend to mention in my next post. Clearly a lot of people dislike Twitter (while some people practically live there!). And some have been banned or have left to protest banning. The problem is that there's no union index of Substackers, on Substack or elsewhere. For better or worse, Twitter seems to be the best place to find the most Substackers, until Substack itself creates a better form of discoverability. (Even Substackers who don't or can't use Twitter may find their work shared on Twitter.)
Substack itself seems to be adding more and more of the better aspects of social media. For example, subscribing to someone is sort of like "friending" and when you click on someone's profile you can see who they're subscribed to and then can find new "friends". I've found many interesting newsletters through this method.
I just threw up in my mouth a little bit from co-opting FB language, but I actually like the feature.
Yeah, I'm blanking on a particular inspiration for the idea. The Google "I'm Feeling Lucky" button (retired a few years ago) is relevant. And I used a site that found random unplayed songs on Spotify. But there must have been other sites. Maybe StumbleUpon had a random button?
What about those of us who are on Substack mostly to avoid Twitter? When can I sign up for the Anti-Twitter list?

I absolutely love the idea of a randomizer! Kind of reminds me of a website I used to go to that I'm blanking on the name of.

Turns out there are a bunch of sites with random buttons. And here's a collection of similar sites from 2009 (including StumbleUpon): https://www.cnet.com/how-to/nine-tools-that-let-you-randomly-browse-the-web/
I would love to be added to the list!

Thanks so much for putting this together!
You're welcome! I've added you to the list.
