I'm afraid I never stop revising. My problem is that I notice problems after they're published. If I'm self-publishing I'll make changes forever. If it no longer belongs to me I'll stew about what I should have done forever.
I never publish a piece immediately after I finish it. I let it mellow for at least 24 hours and almost always find something I can fix. I learned that the hard way!
