But there's no how-to here. Once one copies the code for an emoji, how to put it into the Substack title or text?

How to paste an emoji into text depends on the operating system of the computer or device you're using. For example, if you're on Windows, you can use Ctrl + V. There's a guide to pasting on several operating systems at https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/how-to-copy-and-paste/.

Substack wants to pretend that it's all about the writing. That's so 20th century. Substack is about "communication" and today we communicate using a wide variety of modalities. I am not a huge fan of emojis, but they have their place. I want to be able to embed video and images too, but hey, "Just use words" - Substack 🖕🏼

Where can we get the emoji's to then copy and paste them into our substack? I don't know how to pull them up to begin using them. Is there a website or does it need to be added from our phone where we have the emoji keyboard already downloaded? I'd like to access the emoji dictionary on my laptop. Thanks!

Just tried adding an emoji to the title for a new newsletter article, but it didn't work. For example, if I'd like to get the flag of Italy as an emoji ,"🇮🇹" in emojipedia, how do I get it to appear? I tried ctrl + v but that just showed this only "🇮🇹."

Why doesn't Substack just get with the program and add emojis???

Great read but some emojis seem problematic at best. For example, the keycap numerals, my most used emoji, display correctly here: ex. 1️⃣ . Ironically when used in the substack editor, it decomposes into a box with a one on the left.

I've tried numerous unicode characters for the one key cap and always end up with this displaying: 

Anyone with a solution?
